Creative process
  • Finding the narrative to connect with the audience
  • Reveal the pathway to something bigger

We had to think of something that sparked creativity and innovativeness in us. Present it in class and explain how it developed through story telling.

  • Frame it as a debate, rather than a conflict.
  • Argue as if you’re right but listen as if you’re wrong
  • Make the most respectful interpretation of the other person’s perspective
  • Acknowledge where you agree with your critics and what you’ve learned from them.

How do you tell a good story?
  • Focus your story on one major idea (something you find innovative and creative)
  • Explain why you think it is innovative
  • Look for patterns
  • People have different ideas about how they see the world

  • How to develop a sense of curiousity from your audience
  • Give listeners an opportunity to care
  • Because of “disconnect” you have to build your idea from familiar concepts
  • Start with listeners’ points of view
  • Use metaphors

Are your ideas worth sharing?
What are the benefits?

I came up with the creative process of turning something negative (Demi Lovato's eating disorder) and turning it into art for my O levels art examination.

Descriptive

  • How do you describe things

Writing

  • A process
  • Just like “brick layering” until you get a final product
  • Learn to finish things
  • Meeting deadlines
